Dr. William Light is a board-certified physician who joined Baptist Medical Group in 2011. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Society, and Memphis and Shelby County Medical Societies. Dr. Light specializes in internal medicine and cares for patients in Germantown, TN.

Dr. John Cassidy is a board-certified internal medicine physician practicing adult primary care medicine. He served as the Chief Resident of Internal Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center from 2017 to 2018.

Mary Simpson has been a Family Nurse Practitioner at BMG-The Light Clinic since 2001. During her academic career, she was honored with the Alumni Excellence Award and the Faculty Award for achieving the highest scholastic average, graduating Magna Cum Laude while serving as class president. When not dedicating her time to patients, Mary enjoys spending time reading and relaxing with her family.

Katherine is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner who has been in the medical field for over 25 years. She has extensive experience in critical care, urgent care and primary care. Prior to obtaining her Family Nurse Practitioner license, she worked as an RN in Cardiac, Medical, Neuro and Burn ICU. She has extensive knowledge in caring for patients with a wide range of conditions. Katherine has a special interest in chronic disease management, preventive medicine and educating patients how to best care for their disease processes.

RESIDENCY:

Megan Cochran is a board certified family nurse practitioner specializing in internal medicine. She started her career as a nurse in the CVICU at Baptist. Upon completing her Master’s degree, she began working in the primary care setting as a nurse practitioner, and has been with the Light Clinic since January of 2012. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Virginia McGhee began caring for patients at BMG-The Light Clinic in 2015. Prior to that, she worked as an Registered Nurse at the Georgetown University NICU caring for critically ill newborns and their families.
